Simple To Use Header Graphics Editor

One of the most frustrating things about building websites if you are not technically inclined or a star artist, is finding a good header graphics creator, be it human or in software.

Of course, you can always spend money, lots of money, outsourcing your graphics needs but when you are first starting out that puts a big strain on your budget. What if someone came along and provided one product with an extremely short learning curve that let you do it yourself AND have it affordable?

Well, now you can. I found GFX Writer to be a simple to use Windows based graphics creator that lets you produce professional quality header graphics, report covers, CD/DVD covers, software boxes and more. You don't have to take an art degree or learn Photoshop to create truly stunning images... be they headers, eBook covers or fancy backgrounds.

If you're like me, you've probably got hundreds, if not thousands of blank header graphics sitting around on your computer, right? And every time you want to use one, you either struggle with adding your text to it (ending up with something, shall we say, "less than professional") and rarely getting what you envision.

I just discovered a product call GFX Writer by the Incansoft folks, who do quality products and managed to create my own graphics for many of my sites including three eBooks and a special report. It probably took about 20 minutes to complete my projects.

To use this product, you can make do with the fonts you already have on your computer or get more fancy free fonts at many sources on the internet, just search under "free fonts". I have found some very creative fonts that really enhance my graphics.

For background blanks and pictures do be sure that you are not violating any copyrights and that the photos you use are either your own or ones that have no royalty obligations. Of course the best photos to work with come from stock photo companies such as iStockphoto and are worth the small amount they charge.

Once you have your pictures ready to go it is simply a matter of opening GFX Writer and starting a new project, pick a template and start designing. You can import blank graphics or create them from scratch.

So to summarize the process of easy graphics creation with GFX Writer:

STEP 1 - Import a Blank Header

In this step I Insert a blank header graphic I've found on my hard drive that was designed for a website targeting bicycling.

STEP 2 - ADD TEXT AND FORMAT

Next, I type in the text I want to use, position it on the header and then select the font, size and color I want to use (again I can pick from any fonts on my computer's hard drive).

STEP 3 - COLORIZE AND ADD TEXT EFFECTS

Now comes the fun part - I choose our colors and add special text effects like a drop shadow and an outline or border around the text.

STEP 4 - SAVE AND EXPORT

And last, I save my project, export my header to a jpeg image format and it's ready to use! I can always come back later and re-open my project to modify this header if I need to because GFX Writer uses a special project format similar to PSD files.

Until you feel the need and have the budget to outsource, graphics creation can be done easily with an intuitive product like GFX Writer. One thing I know for sure, there is a great sense of pride that comes with seeing your creations alive on the internet.

This is a 10 out 10 product and comes with more than 100 free blank header graphics for you to customize.

And a side bonus, you may decide to start creating graphics and product covers as a business and be the person others outsource to! This is certainly a product worth investigating.
